I’m kidding. There is nothing terrifying about Tasmanian wombats. They’re plump, bumbling little bearcub critters that waddle around and eat grass and stuff. They don’t look quite as stoned as koalas or as big as capybaras, but you get the picture.
It does make you wonder, though, how they keep from getting eaten by Tasmanian Devils. They’re pretty nasty, but I hear they stay quite full eating road kill.
Or… Maybe that iconic green and chrome motorcycle from the 70s, The Combat Wombat, was named for the darker side of wombats.
