Peter and Matt Bowyer are doing amazing things with whisky in a small village in the Borders Region of Scotland in a village called Duns. Most big distilleries will crank out massive amounts of whisky, throw it in a used American Bourbon cask and forget about it for a few years and nobody takes the time to check how it’d doing. It sits in a big warehouse and time does all the work. Peter and Matt actively work with their collection of whiskies, moving them to different casks and letting the Angles Share be much higher to mature each cask to it’s highest potential. So whatever you taste from Fort Glen will be surprisingly good.
And it won’t be an accident.
We shot this video with the fabulous American filmmaker, Noah Drook in Duns and on the Scottish east coast. I think it does a beautiful job of showcasing their philosophy on making great whisky better.
