I’ve got a mountain of video to edit from my time in Australia, and I spent a day building this piece of a whisky dinner at the Port Arthur Historic Site. The evening was built around the whiskies and gins from McHenry Distillery right there at Port Arthur.
The dinner was fabulous. The chef developed five dishes and cocktails using McHenry’s products. Each dish was a jewel, and the cocktails added to each.
Pair that with William McHenry talking about his journey to start his distillery, and it was a great evening.
I spent a magical month living on the distillery grounds, up at the top of Mt. Arthur with the wallabies and wombats and cockatoos and the fabulous whiskies and gins that McHenry makes.
William McHenry is so well known amongst the Australian distilling community. Everyone knows Bill, and everyone says great things about him. When you watch this, you’ll see why. If you ever find yourself in Tasmania, make your way to McHenry Distillery and tell Bill I said hi!
